Hi there! Sorry for the lack of updates, I was busy travelling to Cologne to see Joe live last Saturday. ;)

Provogue has released the trailer for Joe's upcoming DVD - Live from the Royal Albert Hall. The concert took place May 4th and will be released as a two disc digipack DVD set at the end of September (to the best of my knowledge).

Honestly? This look absolutely EPIC. I'm really looking forward to this!

Just a heads-up, Joe and the band attended the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam last Friday (10 July). The really cool thing is, the entire concert is available both as a video and audio stream for free!

Go check out the entire performance here, full 76 minutes!

Then here we have a interview with Joe from before the show.

And a part of the concert, the band playing "Further on up the Road" --

Because Joe and the band are continuing their tour through Europe this Friday here's the current list of venues they'll be performing at. :)

There are more concerts to come in the US in August and in October/November. There's an appearance in Canada and in September even a few in Japan. And then towards the end of the year the band will be back in Europe for a few more performances.

You can find the entire tour schedule here. :)

Since I'm on a posting spree I might as well give you a few news already. :)

Joe is currently residing in Santorini, Greece at the Black Rock studios recording songs for a new album which is supposed to be released some time in 2010. He's joined by his producer Kevin Shirley, his bandmates Rick, Carmine and Bogie as well as Anton Fig and the Greek musicians Thanasis and Manolis who played on three tracks.

The band will continue touring Europe throughout the upcoming weeks, starting on July 10th in Rotterdam at the North Sea Jazz Festival right before B.B. King.

I might add a current tour schedule soon.

As already listed in the profile info, here are a few rules to start with and we'll go from there.

Rules --

[1] Be polite and respectful when posting and talking to other members. Rude comments will be deleted. This is supposed to be a fan community, not a flame war of sorts. You've been warned.

[2] Be reasonable when posting photos and/or videos, please use an LJ-cut (how-to) for huge images and long posts. Credit the pictures, if possible!

[3] If you want to promote your own community make your post relevant to Joe first and promote your community as an aside. Also, only music or JB related communities, please. Pure promotion posts will be deleted.

I was about to include using tags but let's just see how things are going at first. Any suggestions are welcome, don't hesitate to leave a comment here!

Thanks.

Hello there!

You've come across the first livejournal community dedicated to the amazing American guitarist and singer Joe Bonamassa!

I know it's a long shot to open this place because there don't seem to be many people around here listening to his music but I still think it's a small but good starting point. It'd be great to have some of the latest news around here so that everyone can get informed about new albums, tour dates, appearances, interviews, you get my drift. If you've created fanarts, icons, wallpapers, show them to us! If you've seen him in concert, have photos and videos, have met him, share your story! Overall it's up to all of us to make this a fun place for all things Joe Bonamassa. :)

On another note, if you've received an invite here it's because you've either listed his name or something closely related (as in, blues, blues rock, etc.) in your profile or I simply thought you might possibly be interested in this place. In case you felt bothered by the invite I apologize, I didn't mean to annoy anyone.

So, let's have a good time around here and spread the word about Joe and his music. Any suggestions for this community are welcome, just leave a comment here!
